Black Dog Syndrome You tube Video

Black Dog Syndrome YouTube Video.

This new Black Dog Syndrome You Tube Video outlines the tragic phenomenon that occurs in America’s animal shelters. Black dogs rot in their kennels waiting for someone to love them, while their lighter colored siblings get adopted out immediately. The euthanizing rate is over 700,000 yearly for black dogs

Is killing over 700,000 black dogs every year, because of their color the kind of judgment we want to pass on to our children?  The thought process of thinking one dog is better than the other solely based on a dogs’ color is equal to making the same judgment about the people in our community.

The bias against our black dogs is a psychosocial issue.  We work to help educate children at an early age about this bias.

Black Dog Syndrome You tube VideoWe hope to change the bias with this  Black Dog Syndrome You Tube Video and the Black Dog Syndrome National projects of Black Dog Friday and Black Dog Pickles.

Both are awareness campaigns for the tragic plight of 750,000 black dogs euthanized in our animal shelters. We educate and establish shelter and community animal welfare programs for the humane treatment of all companion animals, particularly our black shelter dogs.  As the saying goes, if you know better you do better and we hope to ensure we all do better when it comes to our black dogs.   Dogs, like people, shouldn’t be judged by the color on the outside.

Jone Eareckson Tada said it best, “If you truly believe in the value of life, you care about all of the weakest and most vulnerable members of society.”

New Black Dog Syndrome Video At Black Dog we not only believe in the value of all life, human and animal.  We celebrate and educate on the unconditional love our companions bring us every day.
